Agriculture Shade Net FAQ

The agriculture sunshade cloth is also called the sunshade and the shading net. In the past 20 years, it has been widely used in agriculture, forestry, fishery, and animal husbandry. It can be used as shading, cooling, windproof, moisturizing, rainproof, hailproof, insect-proof, bird-proof, and improving the small environment.

According to the weaving method, it can be divided into plain weaving net and knitted net. The plain weave net is denser and has a good shading rate, but it is not heat-resistant and easy to break. In addition, once a small hole is broken, the whole net will be easily damaged, while the knitted net will not be broken even if a small hole is broken. So the knitted net can be with long service life. Yarn is divided into flat yarn and round yarn, flat yarn is used for weaving, and round yarn is used for knitting.

Most of them are made of HDPE-high-density polyethylene resin, which is light, anti-aging, acid and alkali-resistant, organic solvent resistance, non-toxic and tasteless...etc. A small part is made of nylon (Nylon) and polyethylene aluminum foil (PE+ Aluminum Foil).

The most commonly available colors shade net clothes are black and green. There are other colors as well such as blue, gray, creamy white, translucent white and silver. Green and white shade cloth are usually used in fruits and vegetables. The translucent white, silver and black sunshade cloth are usually used in succulent plants and orchids, and gray, blue and green shade nets are used in construction sites. The silver mesh has a smell that bugs don't like, so it has the effect of repelling insects.

Shade cloth density is the determining factor of how much light enters the net and the heat level in the net, the higher the density, the harder it is for the light to penetrate. Such as 40% density is only blocking 40% of sunlight, we provide 40 percent shade cloth, 50% shade cloth for a greenhouse, 60 percent shade cloth, 70% shade cloth, 80% shade cloth and 90% shade cloth. You can tell us the plants and crops you need shade, and we will recommend the appropriate shade net density for you.

  1. What Do You Want To Grow? The different plants have different shade needs.
  2. Shade Density & Colour-- if you also want to lower the temperature in your greenhouse, a white cloth will be more efficient. If you need to block sunlight more efficiently, black works better. However, most gardeners opt for a green shade cloth as this will be efficient in both. The higher the density, the harder it is for the light to penetrate.
  3. Durability And Quality--A knitted cloth will last longer than a woven one. make sure you buy one that is made of good quality materials.
  4. Always try to buy the best quality I can afford, so I don’t have to replace it too often.
