Overview

Natural rubber is harvested mainly in the form of the latex from the rubber, then is refined into rubber that is ready for commercial processing. Rubber trees are mainly planted in Brazil, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia , Thailand and other places. Natural rubber has a large stretch ratio, high resilience, and outstanding slip resistance which cannot be replaced with synthetic rubber.

Q: What is natural rubber material?

A: Natural rubber is a high molecular polymer, also known as latex befor processing. Latex is presented as milky fluid in nature. The main component of natural rubber is a polymer based on isoprene, and it also contains a small amount of protein, water, inorganic salts and other substances. After being properly treated and processed , natural rubber can be widely used as material for industrial products or products of daily necessities.

Q: What should be paid attention to in the use of natural rubber products?

A: Although natural rubber material comes from nature, it contains latex , which is  considered as allergen. For  those who  may have allergic reaction to latex ,  natural rubber products should be avoided.

    • Q: Is natural rubber biodegradable material? 

    A:  In order to increase the elasticity and strength of natural rubber, it usually needs go through vulcanization process . Though vulcanized natural rubber is an ideal material for making tires, it becomes difficult to decompose in natural environment. Unvulcanized natural rubber on the other hand is more eco frienly . Natural rubber yoga mat can break down when thrwon away. However, it may take years to complete whole breakdown process due to its big bulk. If natural rubber yoga mat is made with other plastic , such as PU or TPE ,  the mat will not decompose completely.
