EVA

Q: What is EVA material?

EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, which is an eco-friendly and non-toxic material. The water proof property thanks to its closed-cell structure.  And varied hardness to meet client's requests.  The EVA material is known for its softness, flexibility, and durability so it can easily be cut from sheets and molded to different shape products and widely used in a variety of fields.

Q: What are the key characteristics of EVA material?

  • Water resistance: Its closed cell structure makes it moisture resistant, good water resistance, and    no water absorption,
  • Corrosion resistance: Resistant to corrosion from seawater, oils, acids, alkalis, and other chemicals. Also, antimicrobial, non-toxic, odorless, and non-polluting.
  • Processability: Easy to process such as hot pressing, cutting, gluing, laminating, etc.
  • Shock Absorption: High resilience and tensile strength, strong toughness, with excellent shock-absorbing/cushioning performance.
  • Insulation: Excellent heat insulation, cold weather insulation, and low-temperature performance, capable of withstanding extreme cold and exposure.
  • Lightweight: EVA is a lightweight material, making it suitable for applications where weight is a concern, such as in sports equipment and outdoor gear.

Q: Is EVA a toxic substance?

No.  EVA is a safe and non-toxic material.  It does not contain harmful chemicals like phthalates or heavy metals that can be present in some other materials.  Our EVA items also can meet REACh, RoHS, AZO, EN71 and PAHs testing standards.  It will not release toxic substances when it's burned.

Q: Is EVA a recyclable material?

Yes, EVA is generally considered to be recyclable, although the recyclability can vary based on factors like the specific composition of the EVA material and the recycling facilities available.  EVA can be recycled through processes such as mechanical recycling and melt processing.  Mechanical recycling involves grinding or shredding the EVA material into small particles, which can then be used to create new products. Melt processing involves melting down the EVA material to reform it into different shapes or products.

EVA Material Advantage

  • Waterproof, moisture-proof, and proof against corrosion.
  • Resistant to salt water, oil, acid, alkali, and other chemicals.
  • Non-toxic.
  • Odorless.
  • Recyclable.
  • Good shock absorbability: good elastic resilience and tensile strength, good tear resistance.
  • Heat retention: With insulation capabilities, it withstands severe cold and hot weather.
